Sorry for the bloggy break guys but I think I have exercised the boogy man! (or urrr...woman as she was)

Emmie Girl is doing great! We had her four month check up and shots this morning!
She is 26 inches long (98%) and 14 pds 7 oz (50%) - she is aspiring to have super model proportions I suppose :)
Her new party tricks:
Raising head 90 degrees from tummy position
sucking her thumb (SO FREAKING CUTE!)
Rolling onto her side
Reaching for toys
Babbling and screeching at her toys
Laughing

We are starting rice cereal today - pics to follow!
Can't believe how fast this is flying by!

Emmie Two Months

Today was Ms Emmie's 2 Month check up. She weighs 11 Pds & 9 oz (58%) and is 23 inches long (85%). The doctor said she is healthy, happy & beautiful little girl!

She also said no more middle of the night nursing. Wish me luck on that one!

Things Emmie can do now:
Hold her head up
Lift head 45 degrees during tummy time
Follow her mobile in an arch
Gabber and talk to her toys
Smile!!!

Well, for Cib it was Mr Poopy Pants our Elephant Friend.

For Emmie it is Sparkles.

Emmie hates having her poopy pants changed but Sparkles The Poopy Pants Fairy flutters in and whisks all the icky poop and tears away! Thank you Granny Nanny - Emmie loves Sparkles very much!

Emmie is now having play time after each feeding. She loves looking at her mobile and talkin to all the animals. It's the best sound ever to listen to!

Another 'so I don't forget post'.
Emmie is 6 weeks today and no longer fitting in newborn diapers and clothes.

She is sleeping one 5 to 6 hour stretch a night followed by a 3 to 4 hour stretch. Or at least she has and every once in a while she still likes to torture us with a crazy newborn night of up and down.

More Emmie at 1 month

Happy 1 month birthday Em!

Dear Emmie

Sometimes I forget that this blog is not just about a story or cute pics for your grandparents. This is something I do for you baby girl.

And I realized how quickly you are growing already! So I wanted to write to you my 1 month old daughter and capture some things I am sure to forget.

You are so much like your brother yet totally different. Your expressions and eyes are just like Cibbers.
But there are things that utterly Emmie.
You make little horse noises no matter if you are sleeping or awake.

You 'feel good' to me. When I hold you it's the best feeling in the world. You are a snuggler and love being held.

No matter how much sweet smelling baby goop i put on you; you always smell like your daddy and that makes me smile.

When you are awake you look so serious like you are studying my eyes and face, trying to memorize every detail.

When you sleep you look like an angel. Tonight I unswaddled you to feed you and just sat and stared at how totally angelic your little face looks. You are beautiful!

I am absolutely in love with you baby girl!

Emmie Girl

Emmie had her one month check up this morning. She weighed in at 8 Pds 4 oz (22%) and 21 inches long (46%) She is growing and healthy! We've finally kicked the jaundice and working through some reflux issues. Last night Emmie slept a 5 hour chunk! There is light ahead for this sleep deprived house :)

But all in all we are soaking up our lil lady!
