CIb Graduates!

Y'all, I have been so behind on my blog!
BUT I wanted to get this up before Emmie arrives next week and the focus, well...grr...shifts for a while.

Cib graduated from his Mother's Day Out program this past Friday. It was really bitter sweet for me. I didn't have to say good bye to all the teachers and staff who've become like family because I will see them again next year when Emmie begins her time there. However, knowing that Cib has been there for 2 years made me realize just how fast he is growing up and how much growing he's done in those two years.

Here he is at 10 months on his first day in the baby room:

Cib has made some great friends at CDI and so have I!
I am so proud of you, Cibbers! And I am excited to see you keep growing as you begin Pre-K!

Happy 3rd Birthday to one and only, Mr. Bits!

Three years ago today our lives changed....forever....and in the most amazing way. God gave Austin and I the miracle we prayed for and turned us into a family.

Cib, I hope you know everyday you were no accident, you were not the next step in life, you my precious son - were one most sought out, most prayed for and who most blesses us.

Cib is doing great! At his 3 year check up he weighs 41 pounds and is 3'4" tall, both in the 98th%. His speech, comprehension and audibility (ability to understand what he says by others) is excellent.

Cib is most curious and WHY? is a constant question. Cib loves to play soccer, swim and all things Lighting McQueen/Cars. His laugh is belly giggling and contagious. He loves spending his free time with his Grandparents who, I am happy to say, spoil him rotten. This fall he will start Preschool and become a big brother - two 'big boy' privileges he is looking very forward to.

I married a man who I love, respect and believe in. I married a man who loves, respects and believes in me! Austin, I would marry you again and again. I love you!

Emmie update: 7 Months

Sorry for the long silence on the Emmie front. We have had a roller coaster couple of months. At 6 months they diagnosed Emmie with Inter uterine Growth Restriction, plainly put she was not growing symmetrically or at the proper rate. The doctors proceeded to do additional tests to confirm this diagnosis. We had an appt at the end of May to go in and decide if they would induce labor at 30 weeks or try to wait a bit longer. In the midst of this Austin got some exciting news at work (although not the best timing) that he would be working for long stints in NYC over the summer. While we were thrilled for the opportunity for him, we/I was overwhelmed to the face appointments and news alone. We told a few of our closest friends and family here in Houston who have been immensely helpful and supportive. My best girl friend, Natasha accompanied me to my appt with the specialist.

And something miraculous happened.....the Lord healed our Emmie. At the end of May when they looked at her via sonogram she looked perfect. After the three preceding sonograms of bad reports it was amazing news! She went from under the 20th% to the 50th%! Her abdomen which had been the main source of concern had caught up with the rest of her body.

I am now 32 weeks (8 months). We have a follow up with the specialist June 28th to confirm the good news. We would love your prayers for that appointment.

Despite all the ups and downs of our journey to meet each of our children the Lord has molded them perfectly. We feel so blessed and so excited to meet this precious girl...just as she is. Perfect in her Lord and just the way He made her.

Emmie 6 months

Today we saw Emmie for her 6 months OB & Maternal Fetal Medicine visits. She gave us a BIG yawn and all her anatomy still continues to look healthy.

Please continue to pray for her continued healthy development. As well as a full term healthy delivery or a big Fatheree sized baby. :)

Cibs 1st teeth cleaning

My sweet late bloomer still doesn't have all his teeth but finally enough for a cleaning. He did so well! Not a tear or tantrum!

Emmie 5 months!

We had our 5 month sonogram with the Maternal Fetal Medicine doc today and Emmie looks great! All her vital organs, fingers, toes, etc are all where they should be - up and running!
She is weighing in around 11 ounces today! She is kicking constantly now and gave us a big yawn today!
We are so blessed to hear and see a beautiful, healthy baby on her way into our little family. Praise God for more miracles! I am amazed every day by His grace!

BEANS Weekend

We've had a lot of F-U-N in Feb! We started off with our Annual BEANS weekend, this is (usually) a siblings only weekend when we laugh, eat and generally are up to no good....but this year we needed childcare reinforcements.

Tureky 14 weeks

Today we had our first appt with the Maternal Fetal Medicine doctor after graduating from the IVF doc last week. Our sweet baby looks perfect and healthy! 10 Fingers and 10 Toes!

And most of all Turkey decided to tell us who's in there today.

Happy Birthday Daddy!

This guy was the one who taught me how to fish.
He taught me how to be responsible. (which stuck a little later in life than he would have liked.:))
He gave me my first car after working tirelessly to make it perfect.

He gave me away on my wedding day.
He cried the day my sweet Cibbers was born.

This man has been the one I have measured all other men in my life against.
He has always been there. Always put himself last. Never complains. And gives to his family without limits. I am proud to be his daughter.

Turkey 10 1/2 weeks

Turkey is upside down facing the camera. You can see hands and feet in this one!
The nurse seems to be amazed at what a lil mover and shaker we have on our hands!
The nurse did mention at this stage the body would appear much longer than the arms/legs....but she obviously hasn't seen Bits! When turkey appeared on the screen his/her arms and legs are almost twice as long as his/her body! The nurse said, "Well, look at Mom & Dad!"
It brought to mind this picture of Bits. It has taken him two years to grow into these legs!
Baby Turkey, Your big brother can't wait to meet you! His kid quote from school last week was, "Cib has a baby in his belly!" Hmmm....maybe not, but we know you'll be the best big brother Bits! Cib's current prediction is that Turkey is a baby girl. We shall see!

We wanted to thank everyone again for all the support. I think we are finally coming out of fog a little and owe it to every prayer, phone call, email, blog comment. We can't wait for the world to meet our second miracle baby!
