Hello to all my fans out there

Mr. Bits or Mr. Butterball?!

Well after a quick trip to the Pediatrician this afternoon to check out a little baby acne (which I am told is 'no biggie') We had a little weigh in....drum roll...Mr. Bits now weighs 11 pounds and 4 ounces! The doctor assures me I am not over feeding him and that I am a typical first time mom worry wart. :) Keep up the good work Mr. Butterball! Um, I mean Mr. Bits.

Mommies first freak out

Well I knew it was coming, I have seen glimpses but couldnt have imagined my first true face to face experience with it...the mommy freak out. We were out in Eustace, TX at Nana and Papa's (my parents house) this past weekend and my BFF, Natasha and her baby Saige came to meet us there for a long over due visit. My younger brother and his fiance, Trisha were there and started feeling sick. Trisha was really sick to her stomach and before long it was obvious they had a stomach virus. Once this was confirmed, it happened - The freak out. I immediately loaded the car (and Natasha did too) to get our babies away from what you would have thought was the plague. I was crying thinking of all the worst case scenarios. We get all the gear (Lord, the gear) into the car and the babies and are headed to Dallas. We have now taken our children's temperatures like three times, over analyzing the 99 and 100 degrees wondering, "is it fever" or "is it the hell on earth 108 degrees outside that has them all heated up"???!!! About 20 miles outside of Dallas both our children begin to scream in their separate cars. We do our best to pacify them and make it home. We sank into the couches, babies clutched in our arms and exhaled. Everyone was fine. Babies down for there last nap of the day at 4:30 p.m. Natasha and I decided the only thing that could redeem this day was a Miller light and take out. It all worked out and we felt much better after our private happy hour.

Our two week check up

Today mommy and Nana took Mr. Cibbers for his two week check up! My little over achiever weighed in at 9 pounds 3 ounces (75th percentile) and measuring 23 inches long (95th percentile) He is doing amazingly well and the doctor was astounded by his alert state. He did have to get a Hep B shot and some blood work which was most upsetting for Cib and Mommy. To reward us Nana got us greasy cheese burgers from Jake's with fried pickles and we all took a big nap.

Yesterday was an awful day! I woke up for Cib's 5 a.m. feeding with a temp of 102. After a panicked call to the doc she told me not to go to the ER for fear of germs I might pass on to Cibbers and asked me to meet her at the office at 830. By the time we got there my fever was 103.3 and I couldnt walk. She promptly sent me back to Labor and Delivery at Baylor. It was time to feed Cib again so my wonder Mom brought him to us at the hospital. My husband was such a champ! We were put in a curtained area with little privacy and no room since I wasnt actually having a baby and I was heavily drugged. Austin did every thing from console poor Cibbers who didnt like this new bright and cold place, to diaper him on the foot of my small bed and held him up while he nursed because I was too drugged. I am amazingly blessed to have such a wonderful husband and father for my children. Once my fever broke and they had the chance to run several tests they came to a few conclusions. 1) I had a small kidney stone, a kidney infection and bladder infection. 2) I needed major IV antibiotics. So I stayed somewhat unwilling at Baylor over night and received 5 bags of IV drugs. I feel SO much better today! Tired but better. Thank you all so much for your prayers. We made it home and to celebrate gave Cib his first big boy bath in his tub. It was fun and a little scary. :) He promptly fell into a deep nap and I hope it will last long enough for me to join him after I finish posting. :)

Amber does not have any stones requiring surgery. She had some if
antibiotics over night and she is feeling much better.

We are being released this afternoon. Hopefully we can resume the cute
picture phase of this process soon.

Back to the hospital.

Amber woke up this morning with extreme fever and back pain. We went
to the doctor at 9 and she quickly sent us back to Baylor.

Amber may have a kidney stone and does have a kidney infection. Please
pray for her and that Cib will continue being such a good baby even
though he is in another new place.

We will be here at least one night getting iv antibiotics.
